Selector’s Choice – Louise Clements

Louise Clements (Artistic Director of Quad, Format Festival, Derby) selected Stars 13, 2015 as her Selector’s Choice from the 158th Royal Photographic Society’s Annual Print Exhibition.

She wrote ‘Having grown up in the New Forest, i naturally have an affinity for arboreal photography and work that investigates our complex relationship with nature so, for me, this print deserved a special mention.  The photographer uses the forest as her studio, juxtaposed with images of the cosmos to create a sense of tension.  Through its stunning imagery, it evokes an atmosphere, transporting us into the dark, wild woods – the places of forklore and magical realism.’
