Zingst Horizonte Festival

From 10th June 2023, 30 billboard size prints from 5 bodies of work will be exhibited in an outdoor meadow setting at Zingst Horizonte Photo Festival, in Zingst on the Baltic Sea in Northern Germany. The exhibition is curated by Edda Fahrenhorst. The duo exhibition entitled Forests, together with Peter Bialobrzeski, is part of this year’s FAUNA edition, and the exhibition is dedicated to the subject of trees.

‘The European forest represents the meeting place of nature and culture, of natural landscape and human activity. Forests are powerful symbols in folklore, fairy tales and myths, places of enchantment and magic but also of danger and mystery. Against this cultural backdrop, Ellie Davies’ work explores the nature of the landscape through a variety of temporary and non-invasive interventions in the forest that place the viewer in the gap between reality and fantasy.

Duo exhibition together with Peter Bialobrzeski. The exhibition is shown in media partnership with the magazine GEO.’
